Preparing and equipping the patient for surgery

- Preparation of the Elbow and Forearm

  1. Remove the patient’s clothing and lift the blanket below the area to be prepared.
  2. Raise the arm and shoulder above the table.
  3. Place a sterile drape or towel under the arm and armpit.
  4. Prepare the entire area, including the armpit, shoulder, and hand.
