UPPER AND LOWER EYELIDS AFFECTION

It means inability to close the eyelids. It may be a result of facial nerve paralysis
Symptoms
It predisposes to exposure corneal desiccation resulting in vascularization, granulation, pigmentation and sequestration.
Treatment
- The condition is treated medically as in cases of KCS.
- Temporary tarsorrhaphy.
