- Introduction to the Emergency and Reception Unit

It is the department responsible for receiving patients upon their arrival at the hospital, providing the necessary primary care based on the evaluation of their health conditions, and operating 24 hours a day.


- Vision of Nursing Service in the Emergency and Reception Unit

Nursing staff in the Emergency and Reception Unit aspire to elevate the nursing profession by providing effective, safe, and high-quality nursing services to the patients in the unit. 


- Mission of Nursing Service in the Emergency and Reception Unit

The nursing staff in the Emergency and Reception Unit is committed to enhancing the health status of patients and providing the best nursing services in alignment with the hospital's goals and procedures, as well as the nursing management. They also work on advancing the scientific and practical levels of all nursing staff within the unit, fostering a shift towards modern trends in nursing and medical sciences

- Responsibilities of Nursing Staff in the Emergency Unit

· Ensuring that tools and equipment are available and functioning efficiently.

· Performing immediate assessment to evaluate the condition of the patient upon arrival at the emergency department.

· Identifying the patient's needs and prioritizing them.

· Organizing cases based on the priority of their needs.

· Continuing to monitor the patient's condition.

· Understanding the patient's complaint, taking their medical history, and documenting the medications they are currently using, as well as vital signs.
