Policy:
· A decrease in the amount of blood reaching the vital organs in the body, such as the brain, heart, and kidneys, which leads to the tissues of these organs being deprived of sufficient oxygen and nutrients carried in the blood
Steps:
1. Admit the patient to the reception department and calm the patient.
2. Connect the patient to the monitor and regularly measure vital signs to continuously track their condition, while monitoring the patient's level of consciousness.
3. Follow the doctor's instructions to treat the patient according to the type of shock and the cause (in cases of bleeding, the patient's blood is given; in cases of burns, plasma is administered; in cases of vomiting and diarrhea, fluids are given to the patient) — essentially compensating the patient for the fluids lost, whether through sweating or bleeding.
4. Elevate the lower part of the patient’s body to ensure blood flow to the brain without negatively affecting the patient.
5. Place the patient on oxygen according to the doctor’s guidelines.
6. Warm the patient naturally to avoid excessive sweating and fluid loss from the body.
