Dopamine stimulates beta-1
adrenergic receptors in the heart, increasing contraction strength. At
higher doses, it also acts on alpha receptors, promoting
vasoconstriction.
Contraindications:
- Pheochromocytoma
(adrenal tumor)
- Uncontrolled ventricular fibrillation
- Hypersensitivity to
dopamine

- Tachycardia
- Headache
- Nausea, vomiting
