Chronic kidney disease (CKD):
CKD is defined as abnormalities of kidney structure or function, present for > 3 months,
with implications for health. CKD is classified based on Cause, GFR category (G1-G5), and
Albuminuria category (A1-A3), including both non-dialysis dependent chronic kidney disease (CKD1-5ND) and dialysis- dependent chronic kidney disease. (CKD -HD).
Pre-dialysis:
Usually regarded to be chronic kidney disease (CKD stages 4 and 5), although there is no accepted definition. Pre-dialysis includes people with a failing transplant and people having conservative management.
Chronic non dialysis dependent CKD: (CKD-ND)
Non-dialysis-dependent CKD of any stage (G1–G5), with or without a kidney transplant.
Peritoneal Dialysis (PD):
Peritoneal Dialysis including patients on any form of peritoneal dialysis.
