- Policy on the Rights of Sick Children
Purpose:
To uphold the rights of patients and their families.
Work Procedures:
The hospital complies with all regulations and laws issued
by the Ministry of Health and the Medical Professions Union regarding patients'
rights and their families. This is in accordance with the Professional Ethics
Regulations issued by the Minister of Health under Decision No. 238 of 2003 and
Ministerial Decision No. 186 of 2001. Based on these, the hospital adopts the
following policies:
- The right to receive care if
available in the hospital.
- The right to know the name of
the treating physician, the supervising physician, and/or the responsible
physician.
- The right to receive care that
respects the patient’s values and personal beliefs.
- The right to be informed about
and participate in decisions regarding their care.
- The right to refuse treatment
or discontinue it.
- The right to safety, personal
privacy, confidentiality, and dignity.
- The right to receive
appropriate pain management.
- The right to file a complaint
or suggestion without fear of persecution.
- The right to know the costs of
services and procedures.
