- Patient Responsibilities, which
include at minimum:
A. Following hospital policies and
regulations, including:
- Preserving hospital property.
- Not keeping personal
belongings.
- Adhering to designated
visiting hours.
- Not bringing outside food into
the hospital.
- Maintaining silence and order
during child visits.
- Following the hospital’s
no-smoking policy.
- Fulfilling financial
obligations per laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
B. Providing Information:
- Parents must provide accurate
and complete medical history and treatment details.
- Parents must submit any
required legal documents.
- Parents should show respect to
all healthcare staff and help maintain a quiet environment.
C. Following the Proposed Treatment
Plan:
- Parents must adhere to the
child’s treatment plan set by doctors.
- If parents fail to comply,
nursing staff must inform the responsible physician and document the
situation.
- Parents are informed of their
responsibilities through the following methods:
- Signing a general
acknowledgment upon admission, confirming their commitment to hospital
policies.
- Nursing staff reading and
explaining responsibilities to parents and obtaining their
acknowledgment.
- Posting a list of parental
responsibilities on department doors/walls.
