Patients
should consult a doctor immediately if they experience any of the following
symptoms or changes:
- Stoma-Related Issues:
- Changes in size, shape, or
color of the stoma
- Skin irritation or redness
around the stoma
- Hernia (bulging around the
stoma)
- Stoma retraction
- Stoma narrowing
- Urinary Issues:
- Frequent or urgent urination
- Pain or burning during
urination
- Blood in the urine
- Foul-smelling urine
- Fever or chills
- Pouch-Related Issues:
- Persistent leakage
- Difficulty emptying the pouch
- Skin rash or irritation from
the pouch adhesive
- Other Concerns:
- Changes in overall health
- Anxiety about the urostomy or
its impact on life
