- Effective communication skills

–       Changing the topic of conversation if it causes distress to the patient (you should help the patient address the sources of their distress, but without being intrusive).

–       Do not attempt to offer your own personal opinion; instead, allow the patient to express their own views and form their own judgments.

–       Respect the patient’s desire for silence; do not pressure them to speak, as this could cause them distress or exhaustion.

–       Avoid failing to listen attentively or making irrelevant comments, as such behavior conveys a lack of interest.

–       Trivialize the patient's complaint.

–       Language barriers: The word may mean different things to individuals (choose the right pronunciation and make sure they understand what you mean)

–       Psychological Barriers: Many individuals understand the information as they expect, so this should be taken into account.

–       Obstacles arising from individual differences between human beings: "What you prefer may be hated by others and vice versa."

–        Lack of reactions (not paying attention to the reaction to the message or asking the receiver how well they understand the message)

–       Organizational obstacles from the employer: (failure to set goals or lack of communication sources).
