Operating Room Cleaning

• Clean towels.
• Stiff brush.
• Mop and two buckets (one with warm water and disinfectant, the other for rinsing).
• A bucket with water and disinfectant.

(This procedure is best performed by two people.)

Procedure:

1. Thoroughly clean all furniture, including wall-mounted or ceiling-fixed equipment.
2. Move all furniture to the center of the room.
3. Clean the walls, starting from the entrance near the door, working from top to bottom in a circular motion. Also, clean doors and windows.
4. Move the furniture back to the side of the room near the door.
5. Clean and rinse half of the floor, then dry it.
6. Apply water and disinfectant between the cleaned and uncleaned areas, moving the furniture over the disinfected area.
7. Clean the remaining half of the floor using the same method.
8. Clean all cleaning tools used in the process. (Only clean tools should be used for cleaning.)
